RUSSIA - Uspensky Cathedral of Vladimir

"The Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir (sometimes translated Assumption Cathedral) (Russian: Собор Успения Пресвятой Богородицы, Sobor Uspeniya Presvyatoy Bogoroditsy) was a mother church of Medieval Russia in the 13th and 14th centuries. It is part of a World Heritage Site, the White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal. The cathedral was commissioned by Andrew the Pious in his capital, Vladimir, and dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary), whom he promoted as the patron saint of his lands. Originally erected in 1158 to 1160, the cathedral, with six pillars and five domes, was expanded in 1185 to 1189 to reflect the augmented prestige of Vladimir. At of 1178 m², it remained the largest of Russian churches for the next 300 or 400 years."

The monastery has been an important spiritual centre for the Seto people."

BRAZIL - The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos

"The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos is an architectural and landscaped complex formed by a church, a churchyard and six adjoining chapels, located in the Brazilian municipality of Congonhas , state of Minas Gerais.

The church is an important example of the Brazilian colonial architecture , with a rich interior decoration in gold carving and paintings. The churchyard is adorned with twelve statues of prophets in soapstone and the chapels contain sculptural groups in polychrome wood representing steps of the Passion of Christ , statues created by Aleijadinho and his assistants. Other artists of gabarito participated in the construction and decoration works, among them Francisco de Lima Cerqueira , João Nepomuceno Correia e Castro and Mestre Ataíde . The set was built in several stages between 1757 and 1875.

Świątynia Wang

"Vang stave church (Polish: Świątynia Wang; Norwegian: Vang stavkyrkje; German: Stabkirche Wang) is a stave church which was bought by King Frederick William IV of Prussia and transferred from Vang in the Valdres region of Norway and re-erected in 1842 in Brückenberg near Krummhübel in Silesia, now Karpacz in the Karkonosze mountains of Poland. It was originally used by a congregation belonging to the Church of Norway, then the Evangelical Church of Prussia, and now serves the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland. 

The church is a four-post single-nave stave church originally built around 1200 in the parish of Vang in the Valdres region of Norway."

TURKEY - Antalya

"Antalya [ɑnˈtɑljɑ]) is the fifth-most populous city in Turkey and the capital of its eponymous province. Located on Anatolia's flourishing southwest coast bordered by the Taurus Mountains, Antalya is the largest Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast with over one million people in its metropolitan area. The city that is now Antalya was first settled around 200 BC by the Attalid dynasty of Pergamon, which was soon subdued by the Romans. Roman rule saw Antalya thrive, including the construction of several new monuments, such as Hadrian's Gate, and the proliferation of neighboring cities. The city has changed hands several times, including to the Byzantine Empire in 1207 and an expanding Ottoman Empire in 1391.

Ottoman rule brought relative peace and stability for the next five hundred years. The city was transferred to Italian suzerainty in the aftermath of World War I, but was recaptured by a newly independent Turkey in the War of Independence. Antalya is Turkey's biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera. Large-scale development and governmental funding has promoted tourism. A record 12.5 million tourists passed through the city in 2014."
