Crausheal Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) are sociable bird.  

They fly troop-wise, search together near and nest in colonies.

ROMANIA - The St Michael Parish Church

"The St. Michael's Church (Romanian: Biserica Sfântul Mihail, Hungarian: Szent Mihály-templom) is a Gothic-style Roman Catholic church in Cluj-Napoca. It is the second largest church (after the Black Church of Brașov) in the geographical region of Transylvania, Romania. The nave is 50 meters long and 24 meters wide, the apse is 20×10 m. The tower with its height of 76 meter (80 meter including the cross) is the highest one in Transylvania. The western portal is decorated with the three coats of arms of Sigismund as King of Hungary, as King of Bohemia and as Holy Roman Emperor. 

The construction was begun probably in place of the Saint James Chapel. The financing of the church was partly done by the citizens, partly from the income of indulgences. (The first related document from 1349, signed by the archbishop of Avignon and fifteen other bishops grants the indulgence for those contributing to the illumination and furniture of the Saint Michael Church.) The construction was completed between 1442-1447, the old tower was built between 1511-1545. The tower that stands today was erected in 1862." Read here

ROMANIA - Episcopal Palace

"The Cathedral of Curtea de Argeș (early 16th century) is a Romanian Orthodox cathedral in Curtea de Argeș, Romania. It is located on the grounds of the Curtea de Argeș Monastery, and is dedicated to Dormition of the Mother of God. The building is the seat of the Archdiocese of Argeș and Muscel. The cathedral is faced with pale grey limestone, which was easily chiselled then hardened on exposure. The interior is of brick, plastered and decorated with frescoes. Nearby on the grounds stands a large Moorish-style royal palace."

GERMANY - Deutsches Eck, Koblenz

"Deutsches Eck ("German Corner") is the name of a headland in Koblenz, Germany, where the Mosel river joins the Rhine. Named after a local commandry of the Teutonic Order (Deutscher Orden), it became known for a monumental equestrian statue of William I, first German Emperor, erected in 1897 in appreciation of his merits in the unification of Germany. One of many Emperor William monuments raised in the Prussian Rhine Province, it was destroyed in World War II and only the plinth was preserved as a memorial. Following German reunification, a replica of the statue was erected on the pedestal after controversial discussions in 1993. It is today a Koblenz landmark and a popular tourist destination."

GERMANY - Burg Glelberg/Castle of Glelberg

"Burg Gleiberg consists of the Oberburg, which was largely destroyed in the 30 years of the War up to the Bergfried, and the gastronomic Unterburg. The first fortification in the Oberburg, a quadrangular residential tower, was built around the year 1000. The Unterburg was built in the 16th century."

"The Clock Tower is one of the most expressive monuments of military architecture of Transylvania. He was originally a simple gate tower with a maximum of two levels, and later became the Tower of the great front gate. Clock Tower measuring 64 meters high and include 6 levels (110 steps). Roof made in 1677 in Baroque style after the great fire of 30 April 1676 destroyed a part of the city, it has four towers on the corners. In the past, they reflect the legal autonomy of the city. Until 1556 he worked in the city hall tower, and later had other destinations. In the late nineteenth century, on 24 June 1899 was chosen as the museum Sighisoara,"

ROMANIA - Church of the Resurrection, of Sucevita Monastery.

"Sucevița Monastery is an Eastern Orthodox convent situated in the Northeastern part of Romania. It is situated near the Suceviţa River, in the village Sucevița, 18 km away from the city of Rădăuţi, Suceava County. It is located in the southern part of the historical region of Bukovina (northwestern Moldavia). It was built in 1585 by Ieremia Movilă, Gheorghe Movilă and Simion Movilă."

ROMANIA - Tusnad

Băile Tușnad is a town in Harghita County, Romania. It lies in the Székely Land, an ethno-cultural region in eastern Transylvania. With a population of 1,617, it is the smallest town in Romania by population. It is located at an altitude of 650 metres in the southern reaches of the Ciuc depression, between the Harghita and Bodoc mountains, in the valley of the Olt.

The town and the surrounding area are famous for their spas and mineral waters received from seven springs. Nearby is the Lake Sfânta Ana, a famous volcanic crater lake, the only one of its kind in Romania.

ROMANIA - Bârsana church

"Bârsana (Hungarian: Barcánfalva) is a commune in Maramureş County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Bârsana and Nănești (Nánfalva). It also included Onceşti village until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune. As of 2002, Bârsana had 6,352 inhabitants, all but ten of whom were ethnic Romanians. 86.7% were Romanian Orthodox, 7.8% Greek-Catholic and 3.1% Pentecostal.

Bârsana's Church of the Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple is one of eight Wooden Churches of Maramureş listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the Romanian Revolution of 1989, another wooden monastery was built in Bârsana."

The settlement has had multiple name changes: Taplócza, Toplicza, Gyergyó-Toplicza, from February 3, 1861 Oláh-Toplicza, or "Romanian Toplița", then from January 1, 1907 Maroshévíz, until 1918, when it received the Romanian name Toplița Română. Both the Romanian and the Hungarian name mean "hot water spring"; the first is a Romanian word of Slavic origin."

"Putna Monastery is an Orthodox monastic sanctuary , one of the most important cultural, religious and artistic Romanian. It was called "Jerusalem Romanian Nation" ( Mihai Eminescu ). The monastery is situated 33 km north-west of Radauti , Suceava county, northern Moldova."
