BANGLADESH

My first written and stamps card from Bangladesh, it was actually a piece of card with my address and stamps but I am all happy to get this.  Thank you Limon for helping me with my postcard collection.

I have received quite a few cards from Bangladesh but all was a blank cards.  So I would take this is my first written card from Bangladesh.

Historic LalBag Fort Mosque, Dhaka

"Lalbagh Fort (also Fort Aurangabad) is an incomplete 17th century Mughal fort complex that stands proudly before the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1] The construction was started in 1678 AD by Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah who was son of Emperor Aurangzeb and later emperor himself. His successor, Shaista Khan, did not continue the work, though he stayed in Dhaka up to 1688." WIKI

Jamuna Bridge, Sirajgonj

"Bangabandhu Bridge, commonly called the Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge (Bengali: যমুনা বহুমুখী সেতু Jomuna Bohumukhi Shetu) is a bridge opened in Bangladesh in June 1998. It connects Bhuapur on the Jamuna River's east bank to Sirajganj on its west bank. It was the 11th longest bridge in the world when constructed in 1998[1] and currently the 6th longest bridge in South Asia. It was constructed over the Jamuna River, one of the three major rivers of Bangladesh, and fifth largest in the world in discharge volume. The bridge established a strategic link between the eastern and western parts of Bangladesh. It generates multifarious benefits for the people and, especially, promotes inter-regional trade in the country." WIKI

It has been a wet day for weeks so this envelope reach me kind of dirt and effect the postcards.

BANGLADESH - Terracotta Plague from Shalnon Vihara

"Salban vihara (Sanskrit; Bengali: শালবন বিহার Shalban Bihar) in Mainamati, Comilla, Bangladesh is one of the best known Buddhist viharas in the Indian Subcontinent and is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. At the end of the 8th century, King Shri Bhavadeva (Vobodev) made the "Salban Bihar" in this place."

BANGLADESH - Mothurapur Deul, Faridpur

Mathurapur Deul(high mound) is an archeological heritage, a unique vestige of the Bara-Bhuiyans reign in Faridpur. Like most of the archeological places, this one is a 16th century architect comprising terracotta from Hindu Myth. The Deul is situated at Mathurapur of Gajna union under Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur district. Though Deul means the wall in Bangla, but its not a wall at all.

One look at the structure reveals its unique beauty: Fashioned out of terracotta, the Deul is decorated with numerous mythical figures such as terracotta flowers and foliage, gods and goddesses, Hanuman in ecstatic mood, nude dancing figures, and horses in motion."
