"Wanjin Catholic Church is located in the small town of Wanjin. It was established by a Philippine priest during the Qing Dynasty. Completely restored in 1960, it is Taiwan's oldest church. It has been called the "Holy Cathedral of Mary" by Pope Paul II. An inscription on a stone plaque inside, dating back to the Qing dynasty, implies the church was erected by consent of the Manzhou authorities."

"The Atayal (Chinese: 泰雅; pinyin: Tàiyǎ), also known as the Tayal and the Tayan, are a Taiwanese indigenous people. In 2014, the Atayal people numbered 85,888. This was approximately 15.9% of Taiwan's total indigenous population, making them the third-largest indigenous group.

The Atayal word for Atayal is tayal, meaning "human" or "man."

"Taipei 101, sometimes stylized TAIPEI 101, formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center – is a landmark supertall skyscraper in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building was officially classified as the world's tallest from its opening in 2004 until the 2010 completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Its elevators, capable of 60.6 km/h used to transport passengers from the 5th to 89th floor in 37 seconds, set new records."

TAIWAN - Chiayi railway station

Chiayi (Chinese: 嘉義; pinyin: Jiāyì) is a railway station in Chiayi, Taiwan served by Taiwan "Railways and Alishan Forest Railway.

The station was firstly constructed in 1896 and opened on 20 April 1902 with service on the West Coast line. The station was a single-story wooden structure with Japanese style with slant roof and rain-shield walls. The rail line connected to the station roughly divides Chiayi City into two regions. The region located in front of the station prospered as the city business district, while the region located behind the station was scarcely developed. Service to the Alishan Forest Railway began in 1912 from the station. The station was renovated in June 1933 to its current structure."

"Sanxiantai (Chinese: 三仙台; pinyin: Sānxiantái) is an area containing a beach and several islands located on the coast of Chenggong Township, Taitung County, Taiwan. The beach stretches for ten kilometers in length. It is situated at the 112-kilometer mark. A popular tourist attraction for its rocky coastal views, the area is well known for its long footbridge in the shape of a sea dragon that connects the coast to the largest island.[1] The name Sanxiantai means "three immortals platform", referring to the island with three large standing rocks."

TAIWAN - Confucius Temple at Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung City

"The Confucius Temple of Kaohsiung (Chinese: 高雄孔子廟; pinyin: Gāoxióng Kǒngzǐ Miào) is a temple dedicated to the memory of Confucius near Lotus Lake, Zuoying District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

 The temple was originally constructed in 1684, and renovated during the Qing Dynasty. However, during the Japanese colonial period, the temple fell into disuse and disrepair. Only the Chongh Sheng shrine remained intact, and can be seen on the west side of the Old City Elementary School. 

A new temple was constructed in 1976, now on the northwest corner of Lotus Lake. The new design was based on the Liu Song dynasty temple design as well as the design of the Qufu Temple of Confucius."

"Shifen Waterfall (Chinese: 十分大瀑布; pinyin: Shífēn Dà Pùbù) is a scenic waterfall located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, on the upper reaches of the Keelung River. The falls' total height is 20 metres (66 ft) and 40 metres (130 ft) in width, making it the broadest waterfall in Taiwan. It is a cascade waterfall in which the water flows in one direction and the rock is sloped in the opposite."
