"The Clock Tower is one of the most expressive monuments of military architecture of Transylvania. He was originally a simple gate tower with a maximum of two levels, and later became the Tower of the great front gate. Clock Tower measuring 64 meters high and include 6 levels (110 steps). Roof made in 1677 in Baroque style after the great fire of 30 April 1676 destroyed a part of the city, it has four towers on the corners. In the past, they reflect the legal autonomy of the city. Until 1556 he worked in the city hall tower, and later had other destinations. In the late nineteenth century, on 24 June 1899 was chosen as the museum Sighisoara,"
