QATAR - Aspire Tower, Doha

"The Aspire Tower, also known as Torch Hotel, is a 300-metre-tall (980 ft) skyscraper hotel located in the Doha Sports City complex in Doha, Qatar. Designed by architect Hadi Simaan and AREP and engineer Ove Arup and Partners, the tower served as the focal point for the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December 2006.
The Aspire Tower is currently the tallest structure and building in Doha and Qatar, but it is expected to be surpassed by the Dubai Towers Doha, which is set for completion late 2014 and the Barwa Tower."

UAE - Heritage & Originality

This a postcard swap that I had with Usman, my stamps partner from UAE, what a wonderful card from him.

Usman used a number of fine stamps for this card. The right stamp were 1 of 2 in  2011  Camel festival set and the left stamp were 1 of 2 in  Archeology in Jumeirah set issued in 2013.

SPAIN - Cala Ratjada Lighthouse

"The white lighthouse and its buildings at Cala Ratjada (or as the locals call it, Faro del Cap de Capdepera) was built in 1861. It proudly resides a 2 kilometer walk away from the town of Capdepera. It stands 58 meters above sea level so it is a bit of a climb, but well worth it once you have reached the top."

SLOVAKIA - Spissky Hrad/Spis Castle

"The ruins of Spiš Castle in eastern Slovakia form one of the largest castle sites in Central Europe. BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - Banja Luka

"Banja Luka (Cyrillic: Бања Лука, Bosnian pronunciation: [bǎɲa lǔːka]) is the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the capital Sarajevo and is the largest city of Republika Srpska entity. Traditionally, it has been the center of the Bosanska Krajina region, located in the north-western part of the country. It is home of the University of Banja Luka, as well as numerous state and entity institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city lies on the Vrbas river and is well known in the countries of the Former Yugoslavia for being full of tree-lined avenues, boulevards, gardens, and parks.

The area around Banja Luka is mostly woodland, although there are mountains a little further from the city. The city itself is built in the Banja Luka valley, which is located at the transition between high and low mountain areas. "

JAMAICA - Doctor's Cave Beach in the city of Montego Bay, Jamaica

"Ari Atoll  is one of natural atolls of the Maldives. It is one of the biggest atolls and is located in the west of the archipelago. The almost rectangular alignment spreads the islands over an area of about 89x30 kilometres.

It has been divided in two sections for administrative purposes, Northern Ari Atoll and Southern Ari Atoll consisting of 105 islands. Ari Atoll is part of the zone designated for tourist development in the Maldives. It is roughly a 30 minute seaplane flight away from the Capital Malé. There are more than 20 islands in the Atoll designated for tourist resorts. Each island resort is self-contained with accommodation and recreational facilities."
