TAIWAN - The Fort San Domingo

"The Fort San Domingo was originally a wooden fort built by the Spanish in 1629 at Tamsui District, New Taipei, Taiwan. It was originally built in 1628 by the Spanish, who were the governor of northern Taiwan during the era, and was named as "Fort San Domingo". However, the architecture was then destroyed by the Spanish after losing the war to the Dutch in 1642. After the war, in 1644, The Dutch had managed to rebuild the castle in the original site, and had renamed the castle as "Fort Antonio". Since the Dutch were called "Red Haired People" by the Han immigrants during the time, the fort was then nicknamed as "Fort Red Hair".(Chinese: 紅毛城; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Âng-mn̂g-siâⁿ; literally: "ang mo fort")"

Olavinlinna castle in Savonlinna is world’s most northern medieval stone fortress still standing. Savonlinna hosts every summer the famous Savonlinna Opera Festival which takes place in this medieval castle of Olavinlinna.

"Olavinlinna (Swedish: Olofsborg; literally Olaf's Castle) is a 15th-century three-tower castle located in Savonlinna, Finland. It is the northernmost medieval stone fortress still standing. The castle is built on an island in the Kyrönsalmi strait that connects the lakes Haukivesi and Pihlajavesi.

The fortress was founded by Erik Axelsson Tott in 1475 under the name Sankt Olofsborg in an effort to profit from the political turmoil following Ivan III's conquest of the Novgorod Republic. It was sited in Savonia so as to lay claim to the Russian side of the border established by the Treaty of Nöteborg."

SLOVAKIA - Wooden Church in Hronsek

The wooden articular church is located in the village Hronsek, ca 13 km far from Banska Bystrica. Construction of the wooden building was initiated 23rd October 1725 and already 31st October 1726 it was completed and festively consecrated. The church has total capacity of 1100 seats.

BRAZIL - The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos

"The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos is an architectural and landscaped complex formed by a church, a churchyard and six adjoining chapels, located in the Brazilian municipality of Congonhas , state of Minas Gerais.

The church is an important example of the Brazilian colonial architecture , with a rich interior decoration in gold carving and paintings. The churchyard is adorned with twelve statues of prophets in soapstone and the chapels contain sculptural groups in polychrome wood representing steps of the Passion of Christ , statues created by Aleijadinho and his assistants. Other artists of gabarito participated in the construction and decoration works, among them Francisco de Lima Cerqueira , João Nepomuceno Correia e Castro and Mestre Ataíde . The set was built in several stages between 1757 and 1875.

Świątynia Wang

"Vang stave church (Polish: Świątynia Wang; Norwegian: Vang stavkyrkje; German: Stabkirche Wang) is a stave church which was bought by King Frederick William IV of Prussia and transferred from Vang in the Valdres region of Norway and re-erected in 1842 in Brückenberg near Krummhübel in Silesia, now Karpacz in the Karkonosze mountains of Poland. It was originally used by a congregation belonging to the Church of Norway, then the Evangelical Church of Prussia, and now serves the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

The church is a four-post single-nave stave church originally built around 1200 in the parish of Vang in the Valdres region of Norway."
