LUXEMBOURG - chateau de Beaufort

The Château de Beaufort is a ruined castle located along the upper reaches of the Loire River in France. It is near the village of Goudet in the département of Haute-Loire, in the Auvergne region. It was built in the 13th century and modified in the 15th and 16th centuries. Perched on a rocky headland overhanging the granitic rocks of the Margeride, the fortress is today a ruined shell.

Notre-Dame de Reims (Our Lady of Reims) is a Roman Catholic church in Reims, France, built in the High Gothic style. It is the seat of the Archdiocese of Reims, where the kings of France were crowned.[1] The cathedral replaced an older church, destroyed by fire in 1211, that was built on the site of the basilica where Clovis was baptized by Saint Remi, bishop of Reims in AD 496. That original structure had itself been erected on the site of some Roman baths. A major tourism destination, the cathedral receives about one million visitors annually.

The Temple of Euphrosyne is a very valuable structure for Belarus as it is the only one among ancient monasteries of Polotsk that has survived up to now. It is the largest center of Orthodoxy in the whole territory of the country. The convent was established in 1125 by Princess Euphrosyne, after whom it has got its modern name. Originally the temple presented a small wooden structure. But over time a number of young nuns were growing, and the building became too small to accommodate them all. The construction of a new stone building took 30 weeks thanks to the architect Joann.

The Ascension Cathedral (Вознесенский собор) is a Russian Orthodox church in Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast, Russia. It used to be one of the largest churches of the Russian Empire and the main church of the Don Host Province. The five-domed building, which stands 75 meters tall, is a notable example of the Russian Neo-Byzantine architecture. It was erected between 1891 and 1904 on the site of an earlier church. The first church on the site was built to Luigi Rusca's designs. It collapsed in 1846. A replacement church collapsed 17 years later.
