"Fangyuan lighthouse is situated at the Wanggong Fishing Port in Fangyuan Township of Changhua County. The lighthouse was built in 1983 and painted in black and white vertical bands. This octagonal tower was made of reinforced concrete, and equipped with the fourth-class electric lamp, which generated 28,000 candlepower light. The lighthouse guided vessels with equal duration of five seconds between lightness and darkness every ten minutes."
