Ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot, first American forester and former governor of Pennsylvania (1923-1927 and 1931-1935). A national Historic Landmark and home of the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, Grey Towers and its 102 acres of wooded grounds are maintained bu the United State Forest Service as a tribute to the memory of Gifford Pinchot.
