This card showing picture of fighting komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis). Komodo dragon is endemic animal of Indonesia, and only founded in Komodo and Rinca island. Both is part of Lesser Sunda islands. Komodo dragon is a vulnerable species and is on the IUCN Red List. TheKomodo National Park was founded in 1980 to protect Komodo dragon populations on islands including Komodo, Rinca, and Padar. Later, the Wae Wuul and Wolo Tado Reserves were opened on Flores to aid with Komodo dragon conservation. Komodo National Park is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In 2011, Komodo island has been included into New 7 Wonders of Nature list.
